Apple Cabbage Slaw

Serves 4-6



½ small head cabbage

¼ small red onion

1 small green apple

2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

4 tbsp. lemon juice

2 tsp. honey

¼ tsp. sea salt

Black pepper to taste



  1. Chop the cabbage into shreds and place in a large bowl
  2. Slice the onion into small, thin pieces and add to bowl with cabbage
  3. Dice the green apple into small pieces and place in bowl with cabbage and onion
  4. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, honey, and sea salt
  5. Pour oil mixture on top of slaw mixture and toss until evenly coated
  6. Add black pepper to taste
  7. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator



  • Add slivered almonds for an extra crunch and along with added protein, fiber, healthy fats, and other nutrients
  • Great side dish for parties and picnics
