Green Bean Broccoli Stir Fry

Serves: 4



1 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

¼ cup vegetable broth or water

¼ red onion, sliced

1 medium head of broccoli

1 lb. green beans

2 cloves fresh garlic, minced

1 tsp. chopped fresh ginger or ¼ tsp. ground ginger

2 tbsp. Asian style sauce (low sodium soy sauce, tamari, liquid aminos, or coconut aminos

Juice from ½ lime

1 tbsp sesame seeds



  1. Cut tips off green beans then cut each in half, length wise
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat
  3. Add onion and sauté for 3 minutes, until softened
  4. Add minced garlic and ginger and let cook for 2 more minutes
  5. Stir in the vegetable broth or water, green beans and broccoli
  6. Cover and let cook for 8 minutes
  7. Add Asian style sauce of choice then sauté another 2 minutes, uncovered
  8. Add the lime juice and sesame seeds and stir until combined
  9. Remove from stove, serve and enjoy!
